Abstract

In this article, the author introduces one of the most important figures in the field of publishing and book culture during the late Qajar and early Pahlavi periods—Mohammad Ramazani. Alongside an overview of his professional life, the article seeks to explain the formation of Ramazani’s private library and the major goal behind it: the establishment of a large public library in Qom under the name Ḥaẓrat Valī-‛Aṣr library . The study also discusses the dimensions of this library and its role and significance in preserving printed works and ensuring their transmission to future generations.
