The present article investigates the title attributed to the Safavid-era Persian translation of Shaykh Ṣadūq’s Kitāb al-Iʿtiqādāt by Muhammad-Mahdi Razavi. The study demonstrates that the phrase Ḥāṣil al-Tarjumān is not the actual title of the work but rather a formula marking the beginning of the translation within the text. Through an analysis of recurring expressions such as mā ḥāṣal al-tarjuma and ḥāṣil al-ma‛nā, it is shown that such phrases indicate both the commencement of the translated portion and the translator’s meaning-oriented approach to rendering the text.
