Abstract

Mullā Mohammad Ismāīl Aqdāī was one of the prominent scholars of Yazd in the early 13th century AH, leaving behind a large mosque as his legacy. His spiritual influence among the people of Yazd has endured, as evidenced by the stories and accounts that have been preserved about him. The present text consists of narratives compiled by one of his descendants, following the style of early traditionists, complete with chains of transmission, detailing his miraculous acts. Beyond their immediate content, these accounts shed light on various aspects of the religious and social history of Yazd, as well as the prevalent beliefs among its inhabitants.
