Abstract
The thirteenth installment of Neveštegān examines several rare terms found in classical texts, addressing and correcting misinterpretations or misreadings by scholars. These include: “puxta” or “burīda” in a work by Hakim Tirmidhi; “kw” in the invocation “wʾrnmʾn kw” as recorded in Šaṭḥiyyāt al-Ṣūfiyya and Dastūr al-J̌umḥūr; “btʾrh” in Khwaja Abdullah Ansari’s translation-commentary; “badeyārpūš (?)” in Nāma-yi Salāṭin; and “zabāndān” or “zabāndār” in Rasûlid Hexaglot. The article concludes with two brief notes that supplement discussions from previous issues of the series.
