Since the 19th century, some scholars have speculated that the structure of Kitāb al-ʿAyn by Khalīl ibn Aḥmad was influenced by Sanskrit phonetics. However, Stefan Wild has further elaborated on this hypothesis in greater detail.
This article presents a translation of selected passages from his work that specifically address this subject.
