Abstract: In numerous online platforms and consequently in the ninth-grade Persian textbook, the quatrain "Speak little, and speak only for your own interest..." has been erroneously attributed to Khājeh Naṣīral-Dīn Ṭūsī. This note endeavors to trace the misattributions of this quatrain to various poets throughout the history of Persian literature, ultimately identifying its original author
