In the series of essays titled "Writings", the main focus will be on the language and lexical issues of New Persian in the early centuries after Islam and the writings of that era. In the first issue, (1) a new reading of one of the first Persian poems after Islam, by Abul al-Yanbaghī, is presented; (2) a translation of a word of the Qur'an has been introduced in a Syriac translation of parts of the Qur'an, which is probably from the first or second century of Hijri; (3) the less common variant of the word "Khursand" as "Khunsand" has been discussed. And in the final part, (4) a flawed part of the book of Yawāqīt-ul-‘Ulūm has been corrected and a new manuscript of it has also been introduced.
