Abstract
The translation of western researchers’ books and articles, discussing the subject of Quran, not only gives a much better picture of the academic atmosphere of Quran studies in west; but also, it helps our researcher become more familiar with scientific and critical approaches and use academic research principles and methods. Therefore, both these effects prepare the condition to improve the grade of Persian researches in Islamic Studies. The publication of Approaches to Quran can be considered as an effort to achieve these goals. In this article, the author intends to give a report of this book, which includes thirteen Quran essays. So, he aims at encouraging the readers to have a close look at the approaches and the methodology present in essays. In consequence, he criticizes the book translation in brief.
