In the world of Islam, the Moslem scholars, following the teachings of Quran, have pointed out some important issues about animals. Not only have they talked about moral behavior with animals, but also they have discussed the rights of animals. Despite all their efforts regarding the subject, their writings are scattered; so they can be only found as a part of other jurisprudential books, and are only limited to some sentences or one paragraph. Therefore, it has been necessary to write a book with regard to the topic. The Rights of Animals in Islam (Hoghugh Al-heivān fi Al-Islām) by Jafar Mortezā Ămeli has talked over this important issue. In the present article, the author tries to provide a report of this book. Hence, he gives a brief explanation of the content of the book.
