What history is and on what basis it is validated are two of the fundamental questions in the philosophy of history that have received many answers. Today, scholars of the field have largely agreed that firstly, the history of a knowledge is the collection of regular knowledge about a phenomenon (discipline); and secondly, it is based on a well-defined or systematically defined model or a more defensible approach. Professor Ᾱmeli is one of the scholars of this field who has had a great contribution in introducing the early history of Islam with a traditional approach at universities and Seminary school although his findings and research method can be reviewed critically. In order to make his research concerns easier to understand, this article is going to present the story of a meeting with him and a conversation about his history studying Key words: History of Islam, Sira, definite beliefs, methodology, religious values.
