Abstract

Allameh Ja'far Morteza has many criteria for evaluating historical reports. What is most important among these criteria is his theological beliefs. Like many historical writings based on religious beliefs, his writings are not unaffected by his theological beliefs. What follows is a brief look at the impact of Allame's theological beliefs on the narration and criticism of historical accounts with an emphasis on the issue of infallibility. The author attempts to answer these question: what historical accounts have been compiled in Allama's historical books under the influence of his theological beliefs, what have been the effective theological beliefs through history, and which parts of the historical reports have been influenced by these beliefs and hence ignored?
