Abstract

Translating the Holy Qur›an into any languages, including Persian language, is very difficult; and apart from mastering the source and the target language, it requires some knowledge including interpretation, etymology, history and jurisprudence. Its difficulty is partly due to the divinity of the source of the verses, and partly because of the variety of the
presented subjects. During the recent decades, several fluent, accurate, and beautiful translations of the holy Qur›an were published one of which is Mousavi-e Garmāroodi›s translation. In the present paper, the author is going to review the mentioned book which was first published as a pocket sized book by Qadyāni publishing house in 1394. Regarding this, the following paper is divided into five parts: 1. The translation of the verses, 2. The translator›s postscript, 3. The
translator›s post script in the second publication, 4. Bahāoddin Khorramshahi› s post script, 5. Suggestions.
