Al-Aghāni, by Abulfaraj Isfahāni (284 – 368 AH), is the most important and detailed ancient Encyclopedia in Arabic literature which includes poetry, music, as well as a lot of historical information, scientific points, and witty remarks. In the following article, the author is going to present some excerpts of the mentioned book along with the reference to Dārulketāb printing (24 volumes).
