Abstract

Among the merits of Amthal wa Hikam, by Dehkhoda, are the translations which he has presented from prose and poetic sentences. One of the most prominent features of Dehkhoda›s translation is its being archaic and pure Persian, so sometimes the usual readers may not understand the translations correctly. Through several pieces of writing, the author has tried to find the translated parts of Amthal wa Hikam, and presents them along with the Farsi and Arabic diacritical signs. The forthcoming article, a note in a series of notes about history, culture and literature, present a part of the translations of the first volume of the book.
