Practical theology meanstheologically thinking about human’s individual and social action. This type of theology, first of all, has a theological analysis of the social and cultural facts. Having had a critical view to the religious damages of the existing culture, it presents some suggestions based on theological sources in order to open a way to religious life for the believers (dealing with the issue of religious life and religious thought), and also solve the problems of non-believing man’s life. In the present study, the author tries to provide a report of An Introduction to Practical Theology by Richard Osmer. Therefore, according to Osmer, he mentions four tasks of practical theology including experimental and sensory description, interpretive, normative, and practical task. Then he explains every one of them in details.
