Abstract

Hamd chapter is one of the most important chapters in Quran. Because of the high ethical and mystical teachings contained in the verses of this chapter, scholars has paid special attention to it both in jurisprudence studying and in Islamic ethics; and Quran commentators has written independent books upon its explanation and commentary. In the present study, the author has tried to provide a statistical bibliography of this chapter up to the end of 1390. He has arranged italphabetically based on the names of the writers; and his list includes the names of 220 published books along with 74 manuscripts. Following this, he provides an index of Shia and Sunni writers of these books. In the last part he presents a subject index which covers the following subjects: 1. Commentary of In the Name of Allah the Merciful, the Compassionate; 2. the jurisprudence of Hamd chapter; 3. The miracle of Hamd chapter; 4. Tajwid, memorization, and the grammar of Hamd chapter; 5. Calligraphy, graphic, and illumination of Hamd chapter; 6. The books written upon Hamd for children and youths; 7. The independent narrative, ethical, and mystical commentaries; 8. Political, social, and educational commentaries of Hamd chapter, in addition to the modern issues of this chapter; and 9. The common commentaries of Hamdchapter and other chapters.
