Ulrich Rudolph and His Valuable Book on al-Māturīdī

Abstract
Ulrich Rudolph, professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Zurich in Switzerland, is one of the most prominent contemporary Islamologists and theologians in Europe. Among his works, the one which is highly regarded is Al-Māturīdī and the Development of Sunnī Theology in Samarqandthat is aboutMāturīdī School. This article makes an attempt to introduce this book and remind the theology scholars of its importance. Regarding this, the author is going to briefly introduce Rudolph’s works, talk about Māturīdī and the current state of Iranian researches about it.
