Abstract
IbnAbi al-Hadid’s explanation of Nahj al-Balāgheis one of the most important commentaries and descriptive sources of Nahj al-Balāghe. In the present article, the author has tried toexamine all the sources used by IbnAbi al-Hadid in writing his book. Therefore, he firstly mentions his anecdotaland narrative sources, and then talks about the historical ones. Following this, he speaks of his lexical, philosophical, theological, and mystical sources. Finally, he puts an end to his article by speaking of other sources in jurisprudence, astronomy, etc.used by IbnAbi al-Hadid.
