The Contemporary Sunni Critics’ Critical Approach to the Theological Foundations of Imāmi Interpretation

Abstract
The Theological Foundations of Imāmi in the Interpretation of the Qur’an with a critical approach to Zahabi, Assāl, and Rumi’s ideasis a book written by Rād and published by Sokhan publication in 1390. The author of this paper has provided a report of this book in order to attract the Shiite scholars’ attention to the doubts which the critics have regarding the theological foundations of Shiite interpretation. Therefore, he, first of all, explains about why and how the book was formed and then speaks of the main parts of the book. In the last part of the paper, he provides a report of the critical approach to the Shia’s interpretation of the Qur’an in two sections: 1. getting familiar with the contemporary Imāmi critics, 2. presenting a brief report of the critics’ doubts about Shia’s interpretations.
