Abstract
In the following work, the author has tried to provide a list of thePersian books and articles written about Islamic inscriptions, gravestones, and other stone-engravings. In addition, the titles of the articles whose subject is the introduction of the published books on the abovementioned topics are also listed here. Moreover, this list includes the titles of the books and articles whose main subject may not be the Islamic inscriptions and gravestones, but one of their chapters is probably devoted to these issues, or it contains some unique data regarding them. The introduced sources have been published in Iran since the beginning of modern research in the early of the present century up to the end of the year 1390. In this paper, the author considers only the inscriptions which are used as architectural elements in monuments. Therefore, they are inscriptions on stone, brick, plaster, tiles, wooden ark and the altar.
