The acceptability of writing depends on observing the technical and structural issues as well as writing ethics; in other words, the writing ethics is an inseparable part of writing process. In order to evaluate the writing ethics, we can take advantage of some other approaches such as consequence-oriented, task-oriented, and virtue-oriented approach. However, in the present work, the author tries to discuss the issue in the view of the virtue-oriented approach.According to the author, integrity, knowing the limits, level of courage, and transparency are the most obvious virtues in writing without which the text would be ineligible. Hence, each of the aforementioned traits and characteristics are described in detail in an ethical writing. During the discussion, the author provides some examples of the common unrighteousness in writing in order to present a schematic of ethics of virtuous writing; and introduces the ethics of writing not as a set of rules and principles but as virtues of thought and behavior.
