Abstract
Al-azhie fi Elm Al-horouf, a book on syntax, by Ali bin Muhammad HaraviNahvi is among the first works which have in details studies the letters and their applications. Having the intention of examining the content of the book, the author firstly presents a brief biography of the writer and introduces his works. Then, he talks of the value of the book and explains its chapters. Moreover, he compares this book with Moqni Al-labÐb, and speaks about Haravi’s writing method in addition to the syntactic principles and theories which are introduced in the book. In the last part, the author puts forward his ideas regarding invoking the hadith in Al-azhie, and Haravi’s techniques in presenting poetic evidence.
