One of the most important contemporary scholars of Islamic studies in the west is undoubtedly Patricia Crone whose opinions have made important developments in some of the studying areas of Islamic studies. The present paper intends to talk of Patricia Crone, her thoughts and her works; besides, it is going to criticize some of her views. Regarding this, the author is going to focus on two of her books: Hagarism, and Meccan Trade and the Rise of Islam.
