Abstract
The newest publication of The Great Islamic Encyclopedia is volume XIX. One of the entries contained in this volume is the entry: “JahānShāhQara-Qoyunlu” written by ‘RoozbehZarrinkub’. The author of the present article intends to review, rewrite, and complete this entry. Therefore, first of all, he is going to have a look at JahānShāh’s historical and literary character. Following this, he examines his Turkish poems and provides some instances of them. Finally, the author examines the manuscripts of JahānShāh’sDivān (Collection of Poems), his verse epistle to his son and explains what happens to him at the end of his life.
