Amānullah Khan’s state was interested in reconstruction of Afghanistan in all the spects. In Amānullah Khan Period, the journals concentrated on the issues of independence, spread of education, enlightenment, fighting against superstition, and encouraging people of various social strata, especially women, to create a developed and civilized Afghanistan. In the present paper, the author is going to examine the history of the press and the media in Afghanistan. Regarding this, she briefly talks about the publication of the journals of Serāj al-Akhbār and Irshād al-Nesvān. Following this, she analyzes the regulations of the press in Amānullah Khan and Nāder Khan’s period. Finally, she offers the details of the regulations of Afghanistan press.
