Information technology is the most important factor affecting human life today. Due to the rapid developments caused by this factor, certain ethical issues in the theoretical and applied areas have arisen which have not been considered yet. On the other hand, the necessity of indigenization of humanities and Islamic sciences impose some requirements such as theoretical background of IT professional ethics which should be comprehended and reached. The Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Information has organized a series of studies in various related fields and published some of them, one of which is IT Ethical Issues in Islamic Traditions. The author of the following paper is going to categorize and present the criticisms leveled against this book in several groups: 1. methodological criticisms, 2. criticisms regarding the study of the traditions, 3. criticisms of translation, writing, and editing.
