Abstract

In the fourth article of the series of publications titled “Skimming Manuscripts”, the author has scrutinized the text of several manuscripts which are as follow: · A text on the history of a number of plagues and earthquakes happened in the area of Azerbaijan and Marāghe between the years 1194 to 1261 AH. · A note on famine, flood, and deaths from

· A page in which Changiz’s crimes and killings
are compared with the other bloody events of the
history, and Mongol incident is considered as the
worst event to date.
· A Qajar-period secretary’s report in the
introduction to a book called Chāresāz. In this
report, he explains some of Imam Ali’s (AS)
statements, and comes up with some points about
the secretaries and the state of a secretary in Qajar
era.
· Allame Majlesi’s memory about an Indian
ascetic’s travel to Isfahan.
· Presenting a topic on when the wishes come true,
by having a look at the astronomers’ influence on
Safavid politicians in Hal ol-Masāel by Qutboddin
Lāri
· The text of waqf-nāme (a letter of donation) of
two volumes of Misbāh by Hāji Nasīm.
