Abstract

Aqidat Al-Shia is a collection of seventy short theological treatises on five Shiite belief principles. Being researched about and compiled by Muhammad Reza Ansāri Qomi, this book has lately been published in two volumes. Ansāri has compiled this collection in order to collect and present the significant creeds which have been written from second to tenth century AH and have explicated Twelver’s belief about monotheism, Justice, Prophethood, Imamate, and resurrection. A considerable number of treatises included in this collection have already been corrected and published either by Ansāri Qomi or other proofreaders. However, Aqidat al-Shia publisher claims that the treatises have gone through new correction before being printed for the second time. It is worth noting that it is the first time many of these treatises are published. The following paper is going to present its critical issues about the unpleasant and unacceptable quality of the mentioned treatisesof this collection in a series of essays. In this paper, the author is going to just evaluate one of the treatises published in this book, i.e. Al-Abhāth al-Mufida fi Tahsīl al-Aqīda by Allame Helli which is covering pages 614 to 650 of the second volume.
