Abstract
Dating Hadith: Methods and Case Studies by Ali Āqāie (Hekmat Publication, Tehran, 1394) includes the Persian translation of twelve of the most important articles written by ten prominent western researchers which are about the dating of hadith and have been published in the recent decades. This book is the most comprehensive Persian book on the literature of western study of hadith. It presents a report of the most important works in this field and provides its reader with some explanations about different methods of western novel researches on dating of hadith and their results. It also talks about the possibilities and limitations of every method, and mentions some of the answers given to the results of these methods by some Muslim scholars. The following paper is going to have a brief look at this book and review its articles.
