The Arabic Equivalents for Some of the Persian proverbs ofDehkhodā’sAmsālvaHekam

Abstract
Writing AmsālvaHekam (Proverbs and Mottos), whenever AllāmeDehkhodā found an equivalent for Persian proverbs in Arabic language, he mentioned that. However, sometimes he did not refer to the equivalents for some other Persian proverbs and mottos. One of the reasons was perhaps the point that while writing AmsālvaHekam, he did not intend to search through the sources of the Arabic proverbs and only paid attention to some of the proverb books such as MeidāniNeishāboori’sMajma’ al-Amsāl. In the following paper, the author is going to mention the equivalents for some of the proverbs which are in Dehkhodā’sAmsālvaHekam; therefore, he would highlight the common points of these two literatures in AmsālvaHekam more than before.
