Hasin bin Abdorrahmān Salmi Kufi is one of the well-known people and narrators from whom a significant number of jurisprudential and historical narratives are left in ancient sources. However, he has not been much discussed in the works done in the history of the Muslims. He is a person who was a generation before Ibn Ishāq, lived in Kufa, and had some information regarding the Prophet›s family and maqtal al-Hussein through his sources. He has a significant number of historical narratives regarding the Prophet›s family and Imam Hussein›s martyrdom, so he can be described as a person who has a clear picture of the news of Ashura although his news is not detailed. In the present article, the author is trying to introduce this person. Regarding this, he is going to study and answer the following questions: who is Hasin binAbdorrahmān? What are his narratives regarding the Prophet›s family and the history of Islam? And finally, what are his quotes about maqtal al-Hussein?

The Theory of God›s Blood in Islamic Mysticism

The main question in the following article is about the perfection of human blood and the change of that blood into Good blood (thārallah) to determine whether thārallah and the attribution of blood to God is a virtual interpretation or a literal phrase. Besides, if the attribution of blood to God is true and not a metaphor, then what can it mean in Islamic mysticism and how can one attribute a material and limited matter, such as blood, to an absolute and transcendental truth (God)? In the present article, first of all, the interpretation of the concept of thārallah is presented with an emphasis on Qorb-e Farāez and Qorb-e Nawafel in mysticism; therefore, the attribution of blood to God is expressed in real terms, and this attribution does not indicate any defects in the domain of God. After expressing that the interpretation of thārallah implies a certain real relationshipbetween the perfect man and God, the article refers to two latent elements in the interpretation of thārallah. Finally, the author tries to deal with the practical aspects and contemporary functions of this seemingly abstract issue, and points out the contradiction of the theory of God›s blood to the secular theory of the death of God in today›s world.

The Qur’ān manuscript No. 1200, in the Āstān-e Qum Shrine Museum, contains the 30th juz’ of the Qur’ān, and is written in eastern or New Style Kufic script. Nearly 60 years ago, when the manuscript was restored, a note was discovered in itsbeginning, stating that the manuscript was written in 198 AH, in time of Abbasid caliph, al-Ma’mūn. Therefore, some consider it to be the oldest dated Qur’ān whose diacritic is original. Having a codicological and textual overview of the work, the article shows that the date 198 AH, which was assigned to the copying of this MS is too early, and was probablyadded to the beginning of the MS later. The manuscript handwriting follows Kufic style and belongs to the school of a Ghaznavid scribe, Uthmān b. al-Hussain al-Warrāq, but in some ways it is not sufficiently precise including the fact that the scribe made many mistakes in writing the Qur’ānic text. Furthermore, the orthography and syllables of thewords follows Qiyāsi orthography (a complete or non-Uthmānīc rasm), and the manuscript’s variant readings (qirā’āt) is mainly based on Abū ‘Amr (from Basra). These are all the features that justify the dating of the original version of book in the late fifth century AH.

Models of God: Theology for an Ecological Nuclear Age was written by Sallie Mac Fague in 1987. What the book mainly claims is that the patterns, and consequently the concepts and the language which have been common in the Christian tradition about God and his relationship with the universe not only are not suitable anymore and have lost their function, but also are harmful for the present time since they are proposing a pattern which is based on a hierarchical, and dualistic worldview. Therefore, Mac Fague has tried to convey a new conception of God whose attributes and acts are different from the pattern of the traditional God, and more in line with the contemporary era. The following article is going to depict the content of the book and Mac Fague›s ideas.
